Demi Lovato's new single "Skyscraper" was just been released on iTunes, the powerful ballad was produced by Toby Gad and co-written by Kerli. The music video directed by Mark Pellington will premiere tomorrow, July 13th on E! News.

Demi reveales "This song is so special to me because it’s inspired by my journey and the struggles that I've dealt with this past year. "I hope people are able to relate to it and realize that they are able to rise above and overcome any obstacle, no matter the circumstances, and shine like a skyscraper."

Beyoncé - 1+1 (Live on American Idol)

Beyoncé released her second single off her new album "4" due out (June 28th) on the American Idol finale last night. The R&B ballad was written and produced by Beyoncé, Tricky Stewart and The Dream.  Beyoncé performed the song for the first time on the AI finale and went up for sale on iTunes. Though she sounds amazing on the tack it is a very boring song and the lyrics "1+1=2" are just plain awful. It will be interesting to see how it does on the charts since "Run The World (Girls)" made no impact on the charts even after premiering the music video on Idol last week & two amazing performances on the Billboard Awards & Oprah finale special.

The wait is finally over! Lady GaGa premiered the first single from her upcoming album "Born This Way" due out May 23rd, today.The track was written by GaGa herself and produced by Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow. For a song that was hyped so much I was expecting something great such as "Bad Romance", "Poker Face" or "Just Dance" but instead I was somewhat disappointed! As many people have been saying the track sounds like a mix of Madonna's "Express Yourself" and TLC's "Waterfalls". Again its not a terrible song it's just a good pop song but is that enough? The song will have huge first week sales but can it make the impact that Poker Face and Bad Romance did? That remains to be seen. GaGa will be performing the song at the Grammys on Sunday and the music video should premiere soon!

Britney Spears 'Hold It Against Me' Debuts At No.1!

Britney Spears continues to break records with her newest trailblazing hit, "Hold It Against Me." This week, "Hold It Against Me" debuts at Number One on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart, selling 411K digital singles in the U.S. within just one week of its exclusive release on iTunes. This is the biggest first week track number for a female artist, the record was previously held by Taylor Swift. According to Billboard she's the second artist in the trade magazine's 52-history to "debut multiple songs at No. 1," and she "joining Mariah Carey as the only acts to arrive at No. 1 more than once."

Outside of the United States, the single debuted at Number One in nineteen other countries including Australia, Belgium, Japan, Canada, Switzerland, France, Ireland and more. Last week Spears made history with "Hold It Against Me" when she shattered all previous records for obtaining the most number of spins for a first or one-day at Mediabase and BDS. Source
